Microwell Plate Scanner

The WELLscope is a microwell plate scanner that uses confocal laser excitation & fluorescence measurement technology to avoid reading errors typically encountered when imaging microwell plates.  Unwanted signals are often caused by reflections from the surface meniscus of the liquid sample, from trapped air bubbles that may adhere to the sides and bottom of the microwells, and potentially from the microwell materials themselves.  The WELLscope can greatly reduce these types of measurement errors and produce better images.

bulletConfocal design:  greatly reduces background signal and improves the signal to noise ratio.
bulletPrecision optics:  patented optical design ensures accurate reading of every pixel.
bulletHigh sensitivity design with photomultiplier tube (PMT) detection.
bulletWide choice of fluorophores excited via laser excitation (488nm, 532nm, 635nm option available).
bullet16 bit dynamic range and optimize the useful dynamic range with detector offset control and gain (sensitivity) control.
bullet16-bit TIFF image output.
bulletData acquisition and image analysis software included.

Powerful Scanning Options to Deliver Better Results

bulletPixel-by-pixel spectrum analysis.
bulletSimultaneous multiple fluorophore detection.

(please enquire for the prices of the above options)

Applications

bulletDetect minute quantities of fluorophores
bulletAssay research and development

Artifacts caused by the microwell-walls can be observed using confocal depth profiling.
